The Law Office of Hartmann, Jelínek, Fráňa and Partners is preparing a concept for permanent sponsoring, donation and charity activity, which it wishes to dedicate itself to, especially in the field of post-penitentiary care.
The return of convicted persons to normal life and their cooperation with public administration authorities and local government often faces a lack of funds, which could be used for expedient support, possibly even material support, of people who are honestly trying to return to regular civic life.
The legal office sees a natural opportunity here to contribute towards financing of this activity and work, either in the form of sponsoring in cooperation with social services facilities, which deal in work with convicted people once they have served their time, or donation in favour of these facilities, or organisation of events, the proceeds from which are used to support this activity.
However, in order to elaborate a comprehensive programme, it is also necessary to gain the standpoints of those people who deal in such work on a professional level, i.e. especially workers in areas of social services, local government authorities. These problems will be dealt with in a systematic manner by a group of lawyers led by JUDr. Milan Jelínek, who will gain an overview about those facilities where it will be most expedient to channel the office’s funds designated for this activity. The office is preliminarily counting on expenses for this activity of approx. CZK 100,000.00.
Donations to the health service and support for the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové
The office has provided long-term support for certain other civic activities. This especially concerns donations to the health service, be this for a medical facility specialising in treatment of visually impaired children, or a reconditioning and rehabilitation centre.
In the field of culture, the office has provided long-term support for one of the most successful Czech theatres in recent years, many times winner of the Alfréd Radok award and holder of the title “Theatre of the Year”, the Klicpera Theatre in Hradec Králové. The law office most certainly intends to continue in this smaller-scale activity and to expand it to include more permanent cooperation with the Rotary Club.
Our law office has joined in with certain activities which are not subject to a fee. JUDr. Jiří Hartmann is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the “Partnership Foundation”, which is especially concerned with activities in the field of environmental protection.
In terms of this activity, the foundation is provided with legal services with no demand whatsoever for any fee and in this manner, our legal office also participates in the non-profit sector.
Over the past two years, our legal office has worked intensively on finding a suitable partner for the charity lottery project. The aim of this project was to gain funds for the non-profit sector. The aim was then to redistribute these funds in a transparent and fair manner between individual important charity organisations.
This project is very demanding on time and the office also did not demand any financial compensation here.
